2392742 - extra space char added to view's SQL query when X'4C' is used - SAP PD

Symptom

  • An additional space character is added before the first single quote when the DIAGNOSE code X'4C' is used in the view's SQL query.
  • This issue happens as soon as user edits the code.
  • As an example, 

SELECT IMBREQD, X'4C' FROM SYSIBM.SYSDUMMY1

has been modified to

SELECT IMBREQD, X '4C' FROM SYSIBM.SYSDUMMY1

  • Executing SELECT IMBREQD, X '4C' FROM SYSIBM.SYSDUMMY1
    returns an SQLERROR on the SELECT command:

SQLCODE = -104, ERROR: ILLEGAL SYMBOL "'4C'". SOME SYMBOLS THAT MIGHT BE LEGAL ARE: MICROSECONDS
MICROSECOND SECONDS SECOND
