You are getting a Portal Runtime Error when calling the BI support desktop tool via direct url. The application is called via url - http://<host>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.ip.bi.supportdesk.default where as irj/portal is working perfectly fine.
This issue is generally seen after upgrading from lower versions to 7.3X and above.
