2284407 - Usage count of statements in statement cache is too high - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Number of statements in the statement cache have a very high number for Current Usage.
  • The usage count is higher than the number of connections.
  • Outputs that show the issue are query on monCachedStatement or dbcc prsqlcache :
     
        select CurrentUsageCount , MaxUsageCount from monCachedStatement where SSQLID = <ID of problem statement>
    or
        dbcc prsqlcache(<SSQLID of problem statement>, 1)             => the ssql_usecnt field
