2271207 - 'Attempting to read past stream EOM' in ADO.NET when SELECT with WHERE combined with COMPUTE generates empty result set - SAP SDK

Symptom

  • Empty Results in a result set generated by a SELECT sattement with a COMPUTE clause causes an exception.
  • When adding a WHERE clause (no matching data in the table) to a SELECT statement combined with a COMPUTE clauses, it fails with:

Exception: Sybase.Data.AseClient.AseException: Attempting to read past stream EOM.
