Symptom

  • A JDBC program using prepared statements and large batch sizes appears to hang.
  • If you run DBCC STACKTRACE from another connection:

DBCC TRACEON(3604)
go
DBCC STACKTRACE(<hung spid>)
go

   You can see the stacktrace which includes the functions:

ussflush
sendbuffer
either senddone or s_setreturns
