2187216 - Some queries may cause memory leak if MDA is enabled - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A generic memory leak issue after an ASE server has been up for weeks or months.
  • Resident set size memory (RSS) of dataserver process keeps increasing due to some memory allocated from heap memory, the dataserver process takes more memory from a host machine than it should.
  • Monitoring Data Access (MDA) is enabled (ASE configurable parameter 'enable monitoring' is set to 1). No need to query any monitoring table.
  • "Infected with signal 11" error in the Gbitstr::Gbitstr() module may occur.
