2167659 - Prepare_Failback returns an error 834 and 18734 on ASE Cluster Edition - ASE CE

Symptom

  • Using the prepare_failback command to perform a failback from Node 2 to Node 1

1> sp_companion "<Server>","prepare_failback"
2> go
Step: Primary databases are shutdown in secondary.

  • Error 834 is reported:

Msg 834, Level 20, State 4: Server '<Server>', Procedure 'sp_companion', Line 1210: Illegal attempt to clean buffer: BUF=0x000000385815f800, MASS=0x000000385815f800, Buf#=0, page=0x00000037bc4af800, dbid=4, Mass vdevno=57, vpage=9594, Buf lpage=9592, Mass stat=0x84000009,

  • Error 18734 is reported:

Msg 18734, Level 16, State 1: Server '<Server>',
