Symptom

  • Transaction runs from DBACOCKPIT
  • Transaction runs from SAP Application
  • ASE is regularly hitting out of procedure cache errors
  • Short Dumps are generated with the follow error:
     
        "[ASE Error SQL701][SAP][ASE ODBC Driver][Adaptive Server Enterprise]
        THERE IS NOT ENOUGH PROCEDURE CACHE TO RUN THIS PROCEDURE,TRIGGER, OR SQL BATCH.RECONFIGURE ASE WITH MORE PROCEDURE CACHE.
