In FC, a child account is set to Layout row in the chart of accounts step. The calculation properties are thus automatically set to N/A. The parent account is set to Assets, with calculation properties on + and D. For the child account, if we tick the option 'Use parent's calculation properties', the calculation properties are set to Assets, + for Data entry sign, N/A for Rollup sign and D for Journal entry sign. It does not change the rollup sign as the parent's value.
