Symptom

  • ERROR: RES-020146: |Dataflow DF_NAME View <Object Name> contains a call to function <pushdown_sql>, which attempts to push to the underlying database the SQL string passed to the function. This function cannot be pushed down. Reorganize the data flow components so that it can be pushed down.
  • ERROR: An error occurred while optimizing data flow <DF_NAME>. The error is <View <Object Name> contains a call to function <pushdown_sql>, which attempts to push to the underlying database the SQL string passed to the function. This function cannot be pushed down. Reorganize the data flow components so that it can be pushed down.>
  • After upgrading from 4.2 SP2 to SP3, jobs no longer work that contain a pushdown_sql() function in the where clause of Query transforms where a join is performed
  • Embedded dataflows contain Query transforms with pushdown_sql() function in the Where clause
