2063879 - Driver is not configured for integrated authentication error in PI JDBC Adapter

Symptom

  • You have configured the Process Integration (PI) JDBC Adapter to connect to a Microsoft SQL Server database
  • You are also attempting to configure Windows Integrated Authentication to securely connect via the driver
  • The relevant driver has been deployed as per SAP Note 1138877 How to Deploy External Drivers JDBC/JMS Adapters
  • When testing the interface, the following error is thrown in Communication Channel Monitoring:
    Message processing failed.
    Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error when attempting to get processing resources: com.sap.aii.af.lib.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException: Unable to create new pooled resource:
    DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection with the registered driver. com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver returns: This driver is not configured for integrated authentication.. :
    com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: This driver is not configured for integrated authentication.
