1997014 - PI apps do not start - ServerDeploymentException

Symptom

  • After a server restart, some PI applications do not start correctly.
  • The applications affected may include com.sap.xi.repository, com.sap.xi.directory or com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app.
  • The following errors can be seen in the defaultTrace file:

[ERROR CODE DPL.DS.5029] Exception in operation [startApp] with
application [sap.com/com.sap.xi.repository].
[EXCEPTION]
com.sap.engine.services.deploy.exceptions.ServerDeploymentException:
[ERROR CODE DPL.DS.5029] Exception in operation [startApp] with application [sap.com/com.sap.xi.repository].

Caused by:
com.sap.engine.services.deploy.container.DeploymentException: while trying to invoke the method
java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(java.lang.String) of an object returned from java.lang.Thread.getContextClassLoader()
