In the Introscope Investigator, duplicate nodes are created for the monitored system's server, one node has the server name in lower case and the other contains the server name in capital letters, or, in others cases, one contains the short host name while the other contains the FQDN. The node which contains the server name with capital letters/FQDN was created by the Introscope JAVA Agent which is monitoring the affected system. Due to this issue metrics might be missing or grey in the System Monitoring or Root Cause Analysis applications.
The following picture describes an example of the issue:
- Solution Manager 7.10 and 7.20
- Common managed system: Business Objects Enterprise 4.x, Apache Tomcat or Websphere running on Windows Operating System
