SAP IQ is a database to handle very large data size. Also there are many chance to transfer extremly big size of data file between client and IQ server. When moving IN/OUT data to/from IQ, customer has to write real data file on file-system with huge data file size.  However  "Named PIPE" operation is quite helpful and easy method to handle such big data.
