1945102 - Can't start up on a host with maximum configuration more than 2 chips on ASE Small Business Edition

Symptom

  • ASE Small Business Edition (SBE) can't start up on a host with maximum configuration more than 2 chip
  • There are 2 or less than 2 CPUs in the chip
  • The following error messages will be appeared in ASE errorlog:

kernel SySAM: Failed to obtain 1 license(s) for ASE_CORE feature from license file(s) or server(s).
kernel SySAM: The license prohibits use of ASE on a machine with more than 2 CPU chip(s), but 4 CPU chips were detected. Check whether the licensing terms allow you to partition the machine so that ASE can only use 2 CPU chip(s).
