1931512 - CA Wily Introscope Workstation Web Start Client Fails to Start with Java 7 Update 45 (Java 1.7.0_45) with Java warning on "security concern" - Application org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.Main blocked from JVM 1.7.0_51

Symptom

  • Computer Associate Wily Introscope Workstation Web Start Client Fails to Start with following warning:
    "Java has discovered application components that could indicate a security concern. Contact the application vendor to ensure that it has not been tampered with. Block potentially unsafe components from being run? Yes/No/Help "
  • Neither selecting Yes or No starts the Workstation.
  • From JVM 1.7.0_51, the following appears :
    "Application Blocked by Security Settings
    Name: org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.Main
    Your security settings have blocked an application signed with an expired or not-yet-valid certificate from running"
