1914703 - Transaction RSECADMIN "Execute as User" has different BW query result compared to direct BW query execution result by this user

Symptom

Transaction RSECADMIN -> "Analysis" tab -> "Execute as" (or directly transaction RSUDO) is a very useful tool to analyze BW Analysis Authorization issues by both customers and SAP Support. (For BW3.x reporting authorization, the transaction for this purpose is RSSMQ.)

Below two cases normally should have the same query result. However sometimes you find them being different.

  • Logon by user A, transaction RSECADMIN -> "Analysis" tab -> "Execute as" -> Execute as User B and execute a query
  • Logon by user B and execute the same query.
