Symptom

You have Shift-JIS encoded data and want to process it by PI adapter(for example, file adapter).

(Conversion of Shift-JIS to UTF-8)

or

you want to use PI adapter to generate Shift-JIS encoded data.

(Conversion of UTF-8 to Shift-JIS)

You've configured Shift-JIS as the encoding but some characters become garbled after processing.

For example: Character:
