1828291 - Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object - BPC MS

Symptom

  • When trying to connect to a model from BPC Excel, the following error is displayed: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
  • This problem appear when trying to create a new connection for the model
  • The following error message is displayed in the dbo.tbllogs table:

    [Message Type] : ErrorMessage
    [Job Name]     : GetAppsets
    [DateTime]     : 02/18/2013 19:09:34

    reference not set to an instance of an object.

    at SAP.BPC.Services.Webservice.Appsets.GetAppsets(Int32 level)}
