1743755 - Crystal report cache server 'running with error' and disabled after installing BI 4.0 SP04 update

Symptom

  • After installing BI 4.0 SP04 update, Adaptive Processing server (APS), Crystal Cache and Xcelsius Cache server processes FAIL to start after applying the patch
  • However the server worked fine at SP02 patch level with additional patches before the upgrade
  • Open CCM and go to Manage Servers > You will find CrystalReportCacheServer is running with errors and is Disabled.
  • Crystal Reports Cache server's logs would have the following errors:
