1724426 - Could not connect to Java/UME page

Symptom

  • Deployment using Software Update Manager(SUM) ends with the error:" Could not establish connection to AS Java on [hostname:port].Cannot authenticate the user ".
  • Diagtool/Troubleshooting wizard trace shows the error:"Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
    com.sap.security.core.InternalUMFactory.getCache(IIILjava/lang/String;)Lcom/sap/security/core/util/cache/ICache;
    at com.sap.security.core.jmx.impl.SearchResultCache.clinit

       This error can happen during UME operations as well. In that case too, the resolution given in this KBA is applicable.
