1698082 - Warning: No connection to Auditing Data Store from CMS, Auditing data may remain in server buffers

Symptom

  • Observer Auditing has stopped working and no data is getting inserted to Audit DataStore (ADS)
  • CMS.exe (Central Management Server) is using a lot of CPU, seen in task manager
  • Auditing thread utilization is 100%
  • Audit*.txt files are building up in the Auditing folder and are not being emptied / deleted / removed.
  • When launching Central Management Console(CMC) >> Auditing >> under Status Summary, you see the following warning message:

  • Find the following logs in the Central Management Server (CMS) High level traces:

    Mon Mar 19 00:10:59 2012
    ORA-1653: unable to extend table BOAUD.ADS_EVENT_DETAIL by 1024 in
    tablespace BOAUD_SML_DAT
    Mon Mar 19 00:14:00 2012
    ORA-1653: unable to extend table BOAUD.ADS_EVENT_DETAIL by 1024 in
    tablespace BOAUD_SML_DAT
    Mon Mar 19 00:17:01 2012
    ORA-1653: unable to extend table BOAUD.ADS_EVENT_DETAIL by 1024 in
    tablespace BOAUD_SML_DAT
