Symptom

  • When accessing the irj/portal application you receive the following error:

  • In the default trace file the following error is reported:

    [EXCEPTION]
    com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.ServiceException: Error while
    retrieving service: com.sap.portal.navigation.service.navigation
    at
    com.sap.portal.prt.service.ServiceManager.get(ServiceManager.java:270)
    at
    com.sap.portal.prt.runtime.Portal$RuntimeResources.getService(Porta
    l.java:130)
    ..........................
    Caused by: com.sap.portal.prt.broker.PortalModuleIsStoppedException:
    Portal application com.sap.portal.navigation.service.navigation Can not
    be started because it is explicitly stopped
