Incorrect values appear in a grid following a SQL database restore. The incorrect values are not the values the users expect to see from the point in time when the database backup was taken.
A user entered incorrect data into the Revenue table in the live model which caused the model to be unusable. The customer decided to revert back to the previous day's database to avoid rebuilding the model. The DBA restored the database from an agreed point in time and the system appeared to work correctly.
The application server was rebooted, there were no errors relating to configuration and users were able to log on and use the application. The incorrect values were still appearing in a test grid. The users were expecting to see the previous day's correct values.
