3124327 - Application Error when Submitting New Hire Data Review or Personal Data Collected - Onboarding

Symptom

  • Issue occurs only with candidates whos Onboarding process was restarted.
  • Application Error when submitting New Hire Data Review or Personal Data Collection after 2111 release.
  • An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support (with the error information of errorId=2efa3d55-a0a6-41eb-b553-72d91442bf87, timestamp=2021-11-16T21:55:55.676+0000, and the version information from the current screen) if the issue keeps occurring.


Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into instance 
  2. Click New Hire Data Review tile
  3. Click start for candidate 
  4. Keep the data on identification and personal section as it is and continue
  5. On Job information enter new position ID and keep the remaining data as it is and continue
  6. On clicking the Submit button, following error is displayed:
    An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support (with the error information of errorId=2efa3d55-a0a6-41eb-b553-72d91442bf87, timestamp=2021-11-16T21:55:55.676+0000, and the version information from the current screen) if the issue keeps occurring.

Cause

It is due to name format.

Resolution

  1. Disable "Enable Name Format " in Provisioning  >> Company settings

If first solution is can not be applicable, follow two possible work-arounds provided:

  1. work-around 1: disable "enable name format " switch from provisioning - company settings.
  2. work-around 2: provide  Dependent information permission to the manager role and the responsible user performing the NHDR review step
