3111058 - JobApplicationBackgroundCheckRequest Update Failed:The vendorOrderNo XXXX already exists for vendorCode XXXX . with the index 0.

Symptom

This article describes the duplicate vendorOrderNo or duplicate request issue in JobApplicationBackgroundCheckRequest.

Reproducing the Issue

a. When the vendor sends the JobApplicationBackgroundCheckRequest response (to SuccessFactors) like the following:

b. The vendor gets the following error:

JobApplicationBackgroundCheckRequest Update Failed:The vendorOrderNo XXXX already exists for vendorCode XXXX. with the index 0.

Note: The JobApplicationBackgroundCheckRequest payload may slightly change from vendor to vendor but the idea is that the vendor is failing to send a response because SuccessFactors detects another requestId with the same vendorOrderNo or another JobApplicationBackgroundCheckRequest request for the same application or candidate. 

Also, depending what vendor is used in the integration, they might not get the same exact error but detect a duplicate JobApplicationBackgroundCheckRequest for the application or candidate in question.

Cause

SuccessFactors Recruiting Engineering team is still working on figuring out the cause and nature of the issue. 

Resolution

At the time of this writing, the Engineering team is considering this issue as a code issue to be fixed in b2205.1. There are no further details at the moment. This documentation will be updated when more information about the issue is unfolded.
