Symptom

You have the toggle MOD_EXTENDED_DECIMAL_PLACES  activated in your tenant.

However when entering data with more that 7 decimal value you see this error message: "This data entry wasn’t carried out because the entered value has more than 15 digits or more than 7 decimal places. Try entering a different value"

SAP Analytics Cloud 2021.18.1



Reproducing the Issue

  1. Ask SAP to activate the toggle MOD_EXTENDED_DECIMAL_PLACES 
  2. Open your story table
  3. Try to enter data with a more than 7 decimal places
  4. You have the error message above
