The default configuration of Auto Data Purge in test and development instances is that all data types aren't selected to be purged.

Note:  This will change to the policy will not affect the Preview instances. Preview instances will remain Opt-Out as previously communicated.

Before: In the previous version "Documents" and "Audit Data Without Personally Identification Information" was selected to be purged.

After: In the current version, the default configuration in test and development instance will be that all data types aren't selected by default.


LOD-SF-PLT-DRMPLA-25690UI Enhancements in Data Retention Management and Purge Request MonitorWe’ve enhanced the UIs of Data Retention Management and Purge Request Monitor. No behavior change is introduced in these UI enhancements.

Before: In previous version, mentioned UI enhancements did not exist.

After: In current version, the UI's are more intuitive and instructive with Links to documentations, name and descriptions in Purge request monitor are update and the approve button and the approval dialogue are updated. 

LOD-SF-PLT-DRMPLA-15154Enhancements to User Search Boxes in Data Retention ManagementWe enhanced the user search boxes for subject users and approvers when you create a new purge request in Data Retention Management.

Before: In previous version, this functionality was not available.

After: In current version, you can now see search for names with special characters and you can't add yourself as the approver of the purge request that you’re creating.

Note: You must have ONB 2.0 enabled to avail of this feature. 

Before: In previous version, there was no Managers (Internal Hire) option.

After: You can now assign permissions to internally hired future managers easily.

LOD-SF-PLT-RBPPLA-26145Latest Role-Based Permissions for Clock In Clock OutAs an RBP administrator, if Clock In Clock Out module is enabled in your instance, you can now use the latest Role-Based Permissions to manage permission roles for Clock In Clock Out.

After: You can now create and assign permission roles using a more user-friendly UI to manage permission roles for Clock In Clock Out.

LOD-SF-PLT-UIMPLA-13908New Standard Element for Learning License User TypeA new string-typed standard element, learningLicenseUserType, is now available in Succession Data Model. It's optional by default. After this standard element is enabled, you can import and export Learning license types. When you import Learning license types, the supported values are "active" and "functional" and their variations. 

Before: In previous version, there was no standard element available for learning user license type.

After: In current version, you now have the option to enable a new string-typed standard element called "learningLicenseUserType".

We made below improvements to the Employee Import email notification.

  • Improved the e-mail notification structure. We categorized created and updated items, and grouped errors and warnings.
  • Improved error messages to be more user-friendly.

Before: In previous version, Employee Import email notification in some use cases were not easily read.

After: In current version, the Employee Import e-mail notification is now easier to read and troubleshoot with.

We have build a check tool to check the detailed information of a username (similar with current non-case-sensitive duplicate username). Check Tool enhancements were made to User Management > User Information > The user's username exists in the system

Before: Check tool was only available to check information of a non-case-sensitive duplicate username

After: Check Tool can now check the detailed information of all usernames.

LOD-SF-PLT-SAMPLU-4204New Assertion Consumer Service Entries Use the SHA-256 Signing Certificate by DefaultFor better security, SHA-256 is now the default option when selecting the Signing Certificate for all new Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) entries. SHA-1 is no longer an option for any new ACS entry.

Before: The SHA-256 signing certificate was not set by default.

After: In Provisioning, all new Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) entries, for down stream applications, now are set to use the SHA-256 signing certificate by default.

LOD-SF-PLT-ORGPLU-4945Label Changed for the Show Custom Relationships in Company Organization Chart OptionWe modified the label of the Show Custom Manager Relationships in Company Organization Chart (for Company Organization Chart, Home Page, and Mobile People Profile) option to Show Custom Relationships in Company Organization Chart (for Company Organization Chart, Home Page, and Mobile People Profile). We've also added a tooltip to inform you that you need to set "ORG_CHART_DISPLAY" to "TRUE" for custom managers to display in the Company Organization Chart, Home Page, and People Profile.

Before: N/A

After: We renamed the setting and added a tooltip to more accurately describe the behavior that it controls.

SAP Fiori Standards Applied to Page Header

We've updated the global page header to make it more consistent with the latest SAP Fiori design standards. Some changes are new. 

New changes to the page header are:
  • The search field is hidden by default and you see a search icon instead. When you choose (Search), the search field opens.
  • Minor visual design changes to search results, such as photo size and text size.
  • The order and placement of icons in the page header are adjusted to follow SAP Fiori standards. All icons, including (Show Me), are now on the same side of the avatar photo.
We also removed the optional setting Disable SAP Fiori 3 Header from the Company System and Logo Settings page and from the Provisioning tool. 

Before: In the previous version, the page header had a search field instead of a search icon and the Show Me icon was on the opposite side of the avatar photo as other icons.

After: In the current version, the page header has a search icon instead of a search field and the Show Me icon is on the same side of the avatar photo as other icons.

Embedded Third-Party Content on the Latest Home Page

You can now embed third-party content, such as a video or custom JavaScript, on the latest home page.

  • Popover with video file - Use this option to embed a video file stored on a private site, such as your company intranet.
  • Popover with inline frame - Use this option to embed content in an inline frame ("iframe"), such as a video on a public video site.
  • JavaScript - Use this option to execute instructions in a JavaScript file.

Before: In the previous version, these options weren't available.

After: In the current version, when you select a Popover target in the custom card wizard, you can see 2 new options: Video File and Iframe. Or, when you're selecting the target type, you can now see an option JavaScript URL.

We made several enhancements to the Manage Home Page tool to give administrators more control over content on the home page.

Before: In the previous version, most administration functionality was shown on the main Manage Home Page page. The options to hide banner image and change custom card order weren't available.

After: In the current version, you can now hide banner image and change custom card order.

As part of the Next Generation Cloud Delivery Platform.

You can now perform an action for all alerts of an alert type you're responsible for at once, without having to scroll down the list of alerts. This feature is a change to the standard behavior of SAP Fiori responsive tables. Our customers want to resolve a huge number of alerts that have the same issue at once.

Before: In the previous version, the table followed the standard behavior of SAP Fiori responsive tables.

After: In the current version, you can select all alerts for an alert type to perform an action on all of them at once, even on the alerts that haven’t been loaded yet to the front-end server.

Starting from 2111 release, a default to-do category is set for each MDF object definition so that MDF-based workflows are unified ​and their to-do tasks appear in the right places.

Before: In the previous version, Generic Object Change Requests was the to-do category for all MDF objects. You could change the category for any objects.

After: In the current version, a default category can be set for an MDF object. If you change the default category, you're warned of the consequences and asked to confirm your action.

LOD-SF-MDF-MGDMDF-28377Last Modified Information Available on Manage Data Page for MDF Objects Linked to a Default Screen

Last modified information is now available on the Manage Data page for MDF objects with a default screen assigned. In Configure Object Definitions, an MDF object can be linked to a default screen created in Manage Configuration UI. When you create or edit object instances in Manage Data using the default screen, the last modified information is recorded.

Before: In the previous version, audit information was not available for objects with Default screen.

After: In current version, Last modified information is now available on the Manage Data page for MDF objects with a default screen assigned

LOD-SF-MDF-RULRUL-7650Additional Option for Effective-Dated Objects in Lookup Function

For effective dated MDF objects, we now have more flexibility when defining which data records should be ​considered in the Lookup function. Now we can select an additional third option from the Effective Date ​dropdown list, called "As Specified in Expressions Below". ​

Before: In the previous version, you could only select from 2 options "System Context.Effective Date" and "Today"

After: In the current version, you can select an additional third option from the Effective Date dropdown list, called "As Specified in Expressions Below".

When you insert a record in MDF object that supports ​forward propagation, the system validates the change upon saving.

Before: In previous version, there were no error details when validation errors occurred in saving records with forward propagation.

LOD-SF-EAS-WZCEAS-28216Enhanced UI Integration Card Vaccination StatusThe Vaccination Status card now allows users to view employees in specific vaccination statuses, directly within Work Zone. The card now also supports some filter options, that can be used to manipulate the visible data set.

Before: In the previous version this functionality was not available.

After: In the current version, you can view employees in specific vaccination statuses and filter the lists by various criteria.

LOD-SF-EAS-WZCEAS-19710New UI Integration Card My Learning CalendarA new Learning Calendar card has now been introduced in SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone. This card will allow users to view their scheduled Learning classes/sessions, in a calendar. ​
It will also display Public Holiday and Out of Office information for the user, from SuccessFactors.

Before: In the previous version this functionality was not available.

After: In the current version, a new Learning Calendar card has been introduced. 

LOD-SF-EAS-WZCEAS-28096New UI Integration Card "Required Learning" A new Required Learning card has now been introduced in SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone. This card will allow users to view their required learning items, from their Learning Plan, with credit hours needed to complete all the items. 

Before: In the previous version this functionality was not available.

After: In the current version, a new Learning Calendar card has been introduced. 

LOD-SF-EASEAS-28675SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone Now Supports Multiple EmploymentFor users with Multiple Employments (GA or CE), Work Zone has now introduced an Employment Switcher using which the users can switch between their Employments. the content across the different HR cards are displayed in accordance to the selected employment.

Before: In the previous version this functionality was not available.

After: In the current version,  for multiple employments we provide a switcher that enables you to switch between your multiple employment.
