Reproducing the Issue

1. Initiate Onboarding from RCM
2. Error received in BPE
ErrorMessage = An error occurred while saving the HRIS data for the user “*” due to the following reason: {"responsePayload":[{"userSysId":"*","hrisSaveStatus":[{"elementType":null,"key":null,"statusCode":"ERROR","errorInfo":"Business key - start-date - has invalid value: for entity personalInfo for userSysId:*"}]}]}


No start-date value passed to Onboarding


1. Checked Suite Integration and see if start-date is NULL
2. Once Null, go to RCM and update the field mapped to start-date
3. Restart the task in BPE tile or in BPE: Manage Process Task using the Job ID
4. If Job ID is not available in Monitor Process, please below steps below:

  • Go to BPE: Monitor Process Tool
  • Click the filter and add this information in the Variable field (onboardingProcessId=”add the process id”)
  • Once filtered, look for Onboarding2CreateExtUserErrorWorkflow blocks with UNFINISHED status
  • Get the Process Instance ID
  • Then go to BPE: Manage User Tasks
  • Filter it using Process Instance ID
  • Then click Complete Task button
  • Go to Onboarding Dashboard and the candidate will be available there.


Note for Support: Incase no BPE tile error and unable to find in BPPE: Monitor Process tool, please check the splunk using candidate email address and find Onboarding Initiation ID. From there, check the logs using the Onboarding Initiation ID to see the exact error message.
