Symptom

  • On a Sun Sparc OS, the ASE log is showing "major page faults" - for example:

    kernel  Adaptive Server had 14329 major and 0 minor page faults since boot, and 14329 major and 0 minor page faults in last 75000 milliseconds.
    kernel  Adaptive Server had 21960 major and 0 minor page faults since boot, and 4915 major and 0 minor page faults in last 75000 milliseconds.
    kernel  Adaptive Server had 91474 major and 0 minor page faults since boot, and 29982 major and 0 minor page faults in last 75000 milliseconds.
    kernel  Adaptive Server had 114748 major and 0 minor page faults since boot, and 23188 major and 0 minor page faults in last 75000 milliseconds.
    kernel  Adaptive Server had 126317 major and 0 minor page faults since boot, and 11565 major and 0 minor page faults in last 75000 milliseconds.
    kernel  Adaptive Server had 182019 major and 0 minor page faults since boot, and 6894 major and 0 minor page faults in last 75000 milliseconds.
    kernel  Adaptive Server had 198570 major and 0 minor page faults since boot, and 16551 major and 0 minor page faults in last 75000 milliseconds.
    kernel  Adaptive Server had 204876 major and 0 minor page faults since boot, and 6306 major and 0 minor page faults in last 75000 milliseconds.
    kernel  Adaptive Server had 425785 major and 0 minor page faults since boot, and 37778 major and 0 minor page faults in last 75000 milliseconds.
