3081809 - Too frequent execution of Solr index job will cause indexer thread to hang

Symptom

 





Index job fails with:

"message":"de.hybris.platform.solrfacetsearch.indexer.exceptions.IndexerException: Indexer worker failed. Max number of retries in total has been reached","name":"de.hybris.platform.solrfacetsearch.indexer.exceptions.IndexerException","cause":{"commonElementCount":12,"localizedMessage":"Indexer worker failed. Max number of retries in total has been reached","message":"Indexer worker failed. Max number of retries in total has been reached","name":"de.hybris.platform.solrfacetsearch.indexer.exceptions.IndexerException","cause":{"commonElementCount":12,"localizedMessage":"org.apache.solr.client.solrj.impl.CloudSolrClient$RouteException: IOException occurred when talking to server at: http://solr-2.solr.default.svc.cluster.local:8983/solr/master_electronics_Product_default_shard1_replica_n1"

In the process of job execution, you can find the following error flooding in Solr logs:

[c:master_electronic_Product_default s:shard1 r:core_node2 x:master_electronic_Product_default_shard1_replica_n1] o.a.s.u.SolrCmdDistributor Unable to finish sending updates => java.io.IOException: Task queue processing has stalled for 20138 ms with 0 remaining elements to process.
