3079830 - Invalid Column length error with stack trace including function exectrig() - SAP ASE

Symptom

The message, "Invalid column length: <value>. Value must be between 0 and <value> at offset <value> for <value> row with minimum row length of <value>.", together with a stacktrace which includes the modules 'collocate', 'LeSubst__getcolval' and 'exectrig' may be reported in the SAP ASE error log during UPDATE execution when the base table has an update trigger defined and the update command is performed after the table is altered.
