3075701 - Error message while accessing Docusign settings or uploading document - Onboarding

Symptom

Scenario A

  • You are trying to upload a new document in Admin Center > Maintain Onboarding and Offboarding Document Templates and below error message shows up:  
    • Example: ChangeSet index 1 - Server side error / ChangeSet index 1 - ???Exception while reading Provisioning settings for authentication.???;File could not be uploaded to PFS

Scenario B

  • You are trying to access Admin Center > Configure DocuSign eSignature and below error message shows up:
    • Example: [COE0018] Error creating bean with name 'onb2DocusignUtil': Initialization of bean failed

Reproducing the Issue

Scenario A

  1. Go to Admin Center > Maintain Onboarding and Offboarding Document Templates;
  2. Upload Document;
  3. Error Message Pop up - (ChangeSet index 1 - Server side error / ChangeSet index 1 - ???Exception while reading Provisioning settings for authentication.???;File could not be uploaded to PFS

Scenario B 

  1. Go to Admin Center > Configure DocuSign eSignature;
  2. Error message shows up: [COE0018] Error creating bean with name 'onb2DocusignUtil': Initialization of bean failed

Cause

Scenario A

  • This instance was recently refreshed from Production, PFS were not updated in Provisioning.
  • Secret has not defined in Provisioning and you cannot enter your P/S-user credentials.
Scenario B 
  • When the refresh process happens, the associated DocuSign secret  (source instance) is not getting migrated to the logical vault associated with the new company (Target Instance).
  • This is a known limitation from the platform team, DocuSign settings should be cleared post instance refresh

Resolution

Scenario A:

  1. A script is needed to be raised to the Operations Team.
  2. After the script is executed, update PFS settings in Provisioning > Company Settings > Print Form services

 

Scenario B:

Deactivate / Activate DocuSign settings in Admin Center > Configure DocuSign eSignature; 

Note: In case of problems with resolving the scenario B, please raise a new incident to SAP Cloud Product Support team.
