Scheduled Import Jobs are failing after SAC upgrade with the error message:

  • Couldn't refresh because a privilege is missing. Check the System Monitor Trace for possible causes


  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.7.7

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into the customer's SAC tenant with the credentials from the secure area
  2. Go to the one of the impacted model and select an affected Import Job.
  3. You may see the scheduled entries have been failing but the manually run are successful.

Workaround 1:
Refresh the schedule manually.

Workaround 2:

If the model has been shared with the business user, in this case there has been some changes in managing job refresh privilege.

In order for the refresh to go successfully, the model owner needs to share the connection with the business user (user that that the model is shared with).

Then business user needs to go to the connection page and edit the connection and enter the credentials of the shared connection.
