3049296 - Infoprovider is locked in BW backend when opening a story built on BW query in read-only mode in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) - 2021.2.15

Symptom

When opening an SAC Story built on top of BW query, which is in read mode, Infoprovider is locked in the backend (visible in Transaction RSPLSE).

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.2.15

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Build an SAP model based on BW query
  2. On top of that, build an SAC Story.
  3. When Opening that Story, the query is in read only mode. But nevertheless, locks are being set in the backend (see Transaction RSPLSE).

Expected behavior: As Long as the query is not in Input mode, there should be no data locks in the backend.
