3048992 - Interview rating is different in application - Recruiting Management

Symptom

The overall rating showing in Interview Central is different in candidate application.

Discrepancy in rating showing in the report vs what is visible in application.

Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to Job Requisition > Candidate list

2. Check the Interview Result column or View Candidate Rating tab. In example below, the rating is 3.67

3. Proxy as the Interviewer

4. Go to Interview Central. In the same candidate, it shows that rating is 4.0



Cause

The competency selected in the requisition is updated. Some may be deleted or added.

Resolution

The rating discrepancy can happen if there are modification in the competency field after the interview. The system tends to recalculate the rating in the UI based on the latest competency selected in the requisition. The rating in the Interview Central will remain unchanged. The system remembers the provided rating based on  previously selected competency even after it was deleted.

Best practice is that set all the required competency before any interview. Do not change the selected competency after the interview to avoid possible discrepancy.
