Symptom

The following error message occurs when editing an existing query based on two datasources in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

  • "Edit query unsuccessful due to Unsupported Connection Type" occurs when editing an existing query based on two datasources
  • Loading animation of edit query lasts small amount of time and then disappears with no pop up/error

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.7.0

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Model based on OData Datasource
  2. Combine with a File Server Datasource
  3. Edit query and add one or more filter/s
  4. Attempt to edit the query again
  5. Observe the error message within the console (Google Chrome Developer tools)
