LMS - How to search by Catalog ID in the Item Search on the admin side?

Cause

Catalog ID option will only show in Item Search if it is configured in the Component Search Selector.

Resolution

  1. Learning Administration
  2. System Administration
  3. Configuration
  4. Search Selectors
  5. Click Edit Icon for 'Component' Search Selector.
  6. Important Note: When making any changes to configuration for search selectors always make a backup of the previous configuration.
  7. You can add the configuration for Catalog ID for Item Search for Component Search Selector as seen in the screenshots below:



This is the configuration that needs to be added:

Once you have taken a  backup of the previous configuration, you can then add the new configuration as seen in above screenshots and then 'apply changes'.


You should then have this option under your Item Search as seen in the below screenshot:

If you do not see it as in above image you should be able to add it via 'Add/Remove' Criteria.
