Symptom

  • Sharing options are changed and behavior is different for different scenario when re-importing content on SAC

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2021.2.8

Reproducing the Issue

Scenario 1:

  1. Logon SAC.
  2. Go to Browser > Content Network > My Content.
  3. Import content which includes folders and story / model.
  4. Go to the folder, click Shared button.
  5. Add one user and set Access as Edit.
  6. Select "To the selected folder, its subfolders, and files" radio button, click Apply Changes.
  7. Go to Browser > Content Network > My Content.
  8. Re-import the contest, select "Overwrite objects and data" in Import Options.
  9. Go to the folder, click Shared button, find Access of the user is changed to Custom.
  10. Go to the story or model under the folder, find Access of the user is still Edit.

Scenario 2:

  1. Logon SAC.
  2. Go to Browser > Content Network > Business Content.
  3. Import content which includes folders and story / model.
  4. Go to the folder, click Shared button.
  5. Add one user and set Access as View.
  6. Select "To the selected folder, its subfolders, and files" radio button, click Apply Changes.
  7. Go to Browser > Content Network > Business Content.
  8. Re-import the content, select "Overwrite objects and data" in Import Options.
  9. Go to the folder, click Shared button, find Access of the user is still View.
  10. Go to the story or model under the folder, find Access of the user is still View.

Cause

This issue is currently under investigation by Development.
