3028184 - Deleted background information in Employee Profile did not reduce storage in Manage Documents

Symptom

Deleted background information in Employee Profile but when checking Manage Documents, no space was released and it the documents are still weighing on platform storage. How can we delete them permanently?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Cause

The deletes initiated on Employee Profile's background information is invoking a soft delete instead of an actual document delete.

Resolution

  • Engage Employee Profile team to evaluate the current soft delete logic implementation for documents as it can be considered as an enhancement
  • Work around: Manually delete the documents in Manage Document by using the 'Trash' icon.
  1. Go to Manage Documents
  2. Click the 'Filter' icon
  3. Select radio button 'Deleted'
  4. Click 'Apply Filter'
  5. Select the documents that needs to be permanently remove by clicking the check box next to the document name
  6. Click the 'Trash' icon
