Symptom

  • Using a database dump from another server
  • The load of that database fails with messages including
    • The values in the message can be any combination of 2K, 4K, 8K or 16K page sizes that ASE can have:

Backup Server: 4.177.2.1: The database page size of 2048 bytes obtained from ASE is different from the database page size of 8192 bytes read from the dump header. The LOAD session must exit.
Backup Server: 1.14.2.2:   Unrecoverable I/O or volume error. This DUMP or LOAD session must exit.
Backup Server: 6.32.2.3:  /dump_dir/db_dump_file.dmp: volume not valid or not requested ...
