3019896 - Task category shows Deprecation for a data source extension

Task Category shows Deprecation for a data source extension in the app Custom Fields and Logic, even though the fields used are not deprecated.

S/4HANA Cloud

1. In app Custom Fields and Logic, create a data source extension from a data source and select fields that are not deprecated

2. Save and publish the data source extension

3. Find the Task Category of the data source extension showing 'Deprecation'

This is a known issue. A Rework Task is created as soon as the extended data source contains at least one Deprecated element. This is unfortunately currently independent from the actual usage of the deprecated element.

Our development team is working on the fix. The currently planned schedule of the fix is for release 2108 (Note: this is not a fixed schedule and may be changed due to any reason). As soon as it is solved, the rework tasks for these false positives will disappear automatically, and only the rework tasks for actual usage of a deprecated element will remain.

For now, if you are not using any deprecated field from the data source, you can safely ignore this warning.
