3015565 - Measures do not appear correctly in layered format in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

  • Layered bar/column charts do not get displayed correctly when using linked models with a date hierarchy in flat presentation.
  • It works fine, if the date hierarchy is set to a format instead of the "flat presentation".

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.21.15

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to SAC.
  2. Open a Story and link two different models with common dimensions.
  3. Make sure that the models have a date hierarchy.
  4. Add a chart which should display two measures in a simple Bar/Column chart, however with layered function. Under "Color" use the "Show as" option to display them in layered format. (Measure A in front, and Measure B in back)
  5. If you set the date hierarchy (for instance to Year, Month, Day), then the measures are not being displayed appropriately in layered format. Only Measure A is being displayed.
  6. However, if you change the hierarchy selection to "flat presentation", only one measure will be displayed.
