3007710 - Unable to add recipients to CC/BCC when using RCM Email Templates - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When sending Adhoc emails or using RCM Email Templates to send emails, users are unable to add recipients on CC and BCC fields.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to any feature that will let you send emails using RCM Email Templates or Adhoc Emails (e.g Job Requisition, Offer Letter)
  2. On the CC or BCC field, add a user.
  3. The added user is not saved and it is deleted upon the input of the field.

Cause

The user is missing some role-based permissions.

Resolution

There are 3 permissions that would need to be granted. As well as granting these permissions, we need to ensure that the Access user (the user adding someone to CC) and the target user (the user being added to CC) permissions are granted.

To do this, go to Admin Centre - Manage permission roles, select a group that this user is part of, and then search for the following 3 permissions:

Under employee data:
-Email
-Business email address

Under general user permissions:
-User search

Ensure that "View" permissions are granted for this user group for all of these 3 permissions.
Then, scroll to the bottom of this same page and under the section "Grant this role to" click on "Add."
Once here, for the first section "Define whom you want to grant this role permission to" - "Grant this role to" select "Everyone."
Then for the next section "Specify the target population whom the above granted users have permission to access" - "Target population" you must also select "Everyone".
