  • The following dump(s) are observed in ST22 of an ABAP system connected to HANA:

What happened?
The metadata for database connection "R/3*PROXY_ST_ADD" could not be found due to error 99 in the Database Shared Library (DBSL).

How to correct the error

  • A 2nd database connection is used for the connection on the ABAP client. In many cases, the default 1st connection is used for either reading or writing to a table whereas the 2nd connection is used for the read/write operation not performed by the first connection.
