2994297 - HANA DB table grew significantly after the revision upgrade

Symptom

  • After an upgrade of HANA DB revision, noticed that the table SOFFCONT1 grew in size on the day of the upgrade (but a similar issue could occur with any table)
  • The HANA_Tables_IOStatistics script from Note 1969700 SQL Statement Collection for SAP HANA, shows that disk size of table prior to the upgrade was quite small and after the upgrade had increased significantly.

  • The HANA_Tables_LargestTables_2.00.040+ script, in column "LOB_DISK_GB", shows that the data is LOB data in the table. If this table was checked before the update, the LOB data would be visible.
