You are not able to enter WBS element data for an item in the Create/Change Debit Memo Requests or Create/Change Credit Memo Requests apps.
The WBS element field is grayed out.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud CE2011
This field should be grayed out in sales orders in certain situations only, for example when using an item category which is not supported in the EPPM scenario.
Unfortunately, there are situations when the underlying logic also grays out the field for credit memo requests and debit memo requests, which should not be the case.
A hotfix will be delivered on December 10th.
Meanwhile, you can use the following workaround:
It is possible to use the WBS field on header level when creating an item. In the menu, choose Goto > Header > Account Assignment.
The field on header level does not automatically affect the complete document but serves as a "proposal" for all newly created item. If it is filled and a new item is created, then the item gets the WBS element from header level.
Having different WBS Elements on item level can be achieved like this:
- Assuming item 10 to item 40 should have WBS Element 1877:
- Assign 1877 on header level and insert item 10 to item 40 in the document.
- Assuming item 50 should have a different WBS:
- Change 1877 on header level to a different value and then insert item 50.
