2993227 - Activate subscription with catchup_queue when the dsi connection is down causing error - SAP SRS

Symptom

  • The data start to flow to replicate ASE when activate subscription with catchup_queue is executed. Base on the manual, the data should be saved in the catchup_queue, and flow after the validate subscription.
  • Activate subscription with catchup_queue when the dsi connection is down causing error. After resume the DSI connection. SRS errorlog shows the subscription is been dropped by SRS automatically. The creation of the subscription eventually failed and have to manually drop to clean it up.

    I. 2020/12/16 18:23:16. The DSI thread for database 'SYBRO.db2' is started.
    I. 2020/12/16 18:23:16. REPLICATE Replication Server: Dropping subscription <RO_db2_sub> for database replication definition <RO_db2_repdef> with replicate at <SYBRO.db2>
    I. 2020/12/16 18:23:16. PRIMARY Replication Server: Dropping subscription <RO_db2_sub> for database replication definition <RO_db2_repdef> with replicate at <SYBRO.db2>
    I. 2020/12/16 18:23:16. REPLICATE Replication Server: Resource for subscription <RO_db2_sub> for database replication definition <RO_db2_repdef> with replicate at <SYBRO.db2> is released because of error.

  • check subscription show the following errors:

    1> check subscription RO_db2_sub for database replication definition RO_db2_repdef with primary at SYBPRIM.db2 with replicate at SYBRO.db2
    2> go
    Subscription RO_db2_sub encountered ERROR.
    Subscription RO_db2_sub is ACTIVE at the primary.
