This article explains a known issue that happens during candidate application.
When a candidate tries to apply to a job requisition, the candidate fills all required fields and after clicking apply the system shows all the application sections were correctly filled, but an error message is displayed informing some fields that need to be corrected.
The following image shows the validations with a green check for all application sections but the error on the top. The error informs the field presenting the issue (field ID configured in the template) and for background fields it will show the field ID and background id.

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the career site and start the application process
- Fill all required fields
- For any date field, instead of selecting the date from calendar picker, fill the information manually (e.g. type 1/1/2020)
- Hit Apply
- See the error message on the top of the page
The system expects the date field to be populated in a specific format. When the date is not selected using the date picker, behind the scenes the system is not accepting the date that was typed by the candidate.
This is a known defect that is being worked by our engineering team. As of now, the workaround is to inform the candidates to fill any date field by using the date selector.
