SAP Product Support will often request these files when you open a support incident in order to determine he root cause and potential solution(s) to your software issues. This takes time and expert-level knowledge of the contents of these files which can add timely delays into the resolution of your issues.
A self service tool was developed by SAP that can automatically analyze these files against an ever-growing database of known issues that have been cataloged by SAP experts around the globe. This tool allows users to leverage the knowledge of thousands of SAP experts to get near real-time diagnostics and root cause analysis in one easy to use tool.
The tool is referred to as the 'Support Log Assistant - Self Service Tool' and it was developed to allow users an opportunity to solve their own issues quickly.
The support log assistant can detect and analyze over 500 different file types. A complete list of files that can be detected is available online here: List of File Types that can be Analyzed
The tool is built on SAP Cloud Platform and runs within your HTML5 compatible browser. For best results, we recommend using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
Note: Not all file types have solutions available for them so the above list only shows the files that have solutions that can be detected
